The DePuy Synthes TPLO System has been designed in conjunction with and approved by the AO Technical Commission to ensure best possible outcomes1 . The system is designed to: • Achieve controlled compression across the osteotomy using shaft Dynamic Compression Unit (DCU) holes, which promotes direct bone healing and improves resistance to rock back failures2,3† • Improve proximal plate contour and screw locations resulting in reliable locking screw placement and minimizing the need to contour the plate1 • Ensure a consistent locking interface between the DePuy Synthes plate and the DePuy Synthes locking screws4 • Simplify the TPLO procedure with DePuy Synthes instrumentation, including drill guides, TPLO Jigs, Saw Guides and Saw Blades. These instruments allow for ease of use, versatile positioning, accurate osteotomy location, and improved stability of the saw blade.
The standard system includes the 2.7 mm, 3.5 mm small, 3.5 mm, and 3.5 mm broad plates. The mini TPLO system technique guide will cover the 2.0 mm and 2.4 mm TPLO plates.
