Pan Vet at Gilabbey
Pan Vet were at Gilabbey Veterinary Hospital in Cork at the end of May for Soft Tissue Surgery – IV “Tubes, drains and saving lives!”. The one day course covered a variety of topics with emphasis on the practical applications in practice. Lectures, given by Kathryn Pratschke MVB MVM CertSAS Dipl ECVS MRCVS, discussed oesophagostomy feeding tubes, emergency tracheostomy tube placement, current thoughts on CPR, thoracic drain placement and gastropexy techniques.
After lectures delegates participated in a wetlab to practice techniques and examine different approaches.
